Playing the piano gives me great pleasure. However - I'm not too sure if my listeners would agree! Oh I loved playing the piano too, even tho I was always out of key hehehe. Too bad I don't have my piano any more, ever since I moved to Canada. I'd love to be your first audience, clyde! Back home in Hong Kong B4 I came to Canada, my friends used to stay around after the church service, & just sang along whatever the pianist played. So much fun then!

I love board games. And reading with the cats piled all over me. And travelling through pretty countryside, especially when there's no rush. And working in my flower bed.
My more modern simple pleasure is relaxing with a bottle of wine and watching episodes of Golden Girls and Frasier that I've seen a hundred times. Sooo relaxing...

Niles gets me every time. He's so easily rattled and gets all flustered. I just can't stop laughing at him.

I also like taking a walk and kicking threw the leaves on a lovely fall day. I like to be outside on a nice brisk Fall day and enjoy a nice cold crunchy juicy apple. Ahh...there's nothing better.

I used to love going for a walk but I need a double knee replacement so there hasn't been much walking in awhile. I enjoy crocheting. I enjoy my garden. I enjoy hearing a summer rain on the roof. I love to catch a beautiful sunrise or sunset. I enjoy driving around and taking in all the beauty where I live. I take back roads as much as possible. At certain times of the year it is particularly beautiful and I often say I feel like I'm driving through a painting. I love going for walks, esp. I can't do much. I can only go for short one tho' for now. I enjoy the beautiful landscapes in the neighbourhood. Too bad winter's coming, won't be able to do it much longer but the fall colour is wonderful! Our kitchen is facing SW, so we can enjoy the beautiful, magnificent sunset almost everyday!! What a treat!
I bet that looks really pretty. A beautiful sunset, someone to share it with. A lovely glass of wine with some fresh sweet grapes and cheese cubes. Oh yeah. Can you tell I'm a hopeless romantic?!!!

I love the one where he and Frasier win the dinner with the Nobel Prize winners and he gets all hopped up on allergy pills; he sneezes the pill out then looks at it and puts it back in his mouth. And the one where he is dressed like a pirate... Oh, and when Frasier is pretending to be Jewish and Niles is dressed like Jesus...I could go on and on... Another simple pleasure is a bottle of champagne and some My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic. Not kidding, it's a great show.

Oh I'm an absolute Frasier fan too! Though his apartment would terrify me, I couldn't even go up there, never mind live that far up! I loved it when he discovered that he had fallen for a girl and she tells him at the airport that she is a country girl at heart and wants to breed horses!!
I love Golden Girls too and am rewatching it at the moment but I don't find it has held up so well as Frasier, and how four intelligent women can spend their entire time thinking about dates is beyond me!! lol

Must be the Florida sunshine. I'm only in my 50's and if I didn't already have a honey, I wouldn't have the energy to find one.

I am missing the Waltons more each day. A moment on the mountain—that I could find a way To let go of the pressures that today has put on life Just sit and watch the love between an ‘old fool’ and his wife. The constancy of home where I could always find my center, And the door was open wide, allowing anyone to enter. Each day I’d watch the seasons as they danced before my eyes As the weeks turned into months, then years, which fast away would fly. I'd gladly do my given chores—feed Chance or churn the butter Iron with my Grand-ma or wash dishes with my Mother. I’d fish the creek with Grandpa or help Daddy fix the saw And always find the lesson when my failures rubbed me raw. I would visit Ike and Corabeth to chat about the neighbors, Check in upon the Baldwins as the recipe we savored. I'd walk along the dirt roads wishing all the scenes would last, As dust clouds rise, I’d wave to Sheriff Bridges as he passed. I could saunter by on Blue or take the flivver for a ride, Sit along Drucilla’s Pond all day, with Reckless by my side. I could catch a ride to Rockfish, take the bus to Charlottesville, But I wouldn’t stay….The Mountain’s what I love, and always will!

Sorry, everyone. I tried to use the quote feature to post a small portion of this under the "Simple Pleasures" thread. Not sure what I did wrong, but ended up reposting the whole thing in the wrong place. My apologies.
