I got into The Waltons in 2009 and after that I was essentially watching an episode every week for years! I loved it. In the summer of 2014 I just finished watching through for the third of fourth time and I decided it was a good time to take a break. I did watch The Homecoming at Christmas (it's part of my Christmas tradition now!) and I actually watched The Foundling a little while after, hoping to start another watch through, but I never did. But today, when it's been at least six months without seeing any Waltons, I sat down to watch The Carnival and I loved it. Taking a break meant that I only enjoyed it even more the next time I watched it! Absolutely sublime have you ever taken a break from The Waltons?

I got to know the Waltons in 2012 and jumped in with both feet, driving all the way to CA for the reunion weekend. I like to watch when it airs on Hallmark and INSP (is it still on UP? - it used to be and I watched it there too); I like the thought that there are other Waltons friends watching the same thing at the same time I am With work and everything I usually see at least a couple of episodes a week, and it feels like coming home everytime.

I've taken a break of a couple of weeks, but thats the most I go. I watch them in bed at night on my little 7" dvd player with headphones. (When I'm not watching the Waltons, I'm watching Northern Exposure.) I don't go to sleep easily and the Waltons help me relax. After I watch for a little while, I cover the screen with a dark cloth so it's black in the room and I just hear their voices. That's when I can start to drift off. No better way to go to sleep than hearing the voices of the Waltons as if they were just in the other room ....

Where do you get the northern exposure dvds' ? I bought some on Ebay and some on Amazon. Ebay ones were really cheap and they were brand new. I paid approx. $12 for season 1 and the same for season 2.
