We just got the box. How do we record something? It should be easy. Did you get the new remote with it? Bring up the guide and scroll over to the program you want to record. Point the remote and press the "record button. There should be an indicator on the guide showing you that it will be recorded. What patriciaanne said

I really enjoyed the Home & Family Reunion Show this morning. And for that many of a cast to come together is really an accomplishment. We have just three grown children and can hardly get all of us together for a family get together. What is nice to see in this day and age is that all those people grew up to be well adjusted adults. You don't hear of drug use, abuse or any other tabloid stories from them. They stay in touch with each other from time to time and still have a family relationship. The Hollywood people of today can learn a lot from them. I really have no respect for most of the stars today. There is a few that use their publicity and money to help others but most are spoiled. drug using " look at me" people.
Something was said on the show that hit home with me. I'm middle age, in my middle 50's who have been home for the past few months from work because I fell at home and hurt myself. And being home so much and seeing what crap was on television till one afternoon, I happen upon The Hallmark Channel and The Waltons were on. When that music came on and the show started a peace came upon me. Took me back to my childhood and everything just feels a little better again. I have really enjoyed watching the show again. I just bought the whole collection of the show and starting to watch it without any cutting going on. So it was just really nice to see the cast today and to give me that warm fuzzy feeling for the day.

I really enjoyed watching the show,I too wished that Jon,Eric, and David were there.I missed the first few minutes of the show.It was good to see most of them together again. It was good to Ronnie Clair Edwards all the way from her home in Dallas.I liked that segment on Will Geer place. I liked Judy song at the song with all the clips from the show.I liked that Earl Hamner was on at the first of the show,(I missed that)and that he was on the last of the show.In that segment about making a watermelon salad,I didn't know there were so many types of watermelons. You can watch the show again tomorrow from 12 to 2.

I am in Australia so there is no way I would ever see this show if it wasn't for this Forum. I just watched the link and so thoroughly enjoyed it. Isnt Richard Thomas a delight? I am sure he must be a very funny man in real life - he has such a wicked sense of humour. Its so lovely to see them as themselves and especially when they showed the clip of Will Geers theatre, they were all moved to tears. Thanks so much for this site. I rarely post messages but I drop by every day to catch up on the latest.

I enjoyed the show. For the most part, Home & Family treated the show with respect and I was glad to see it. A few notes:
- The girl that looked like Wendy from Wendy's kept referring to John's character as Pa. That's a pet peeve of mine. They never called him Pa. I think the only reference I can remember is in the Dust Bowl Cousins when Ham mentioned something about "mind your Pa", but that was it.
- I think the guy who showed us how to print pictures had real emotions about the show. The fact that he pointed at Michael when he mentioned the episode about the school reunion may have thrown the cast of when it was actually John's reunion he was referring to.
- I LOVE that they visited Will's theater. Visiting there is on my bucket list.
- Man, even a short clip of the porch scene with Grandma and Grandpa makes me cry.
- I liked that the cast seemed so interested in the cooking segments. They all came across as genuine, good people...as they always have.
- I've only seen one youtube clip of Judy singing before and didn't realize she had that beautiful of a voice. That was a great performance. Will definitely be getting her cd.

I saw the Waltons Home and Family appearance though I don't regularly watch the Home and Family show. I enjoyed seeing a current Waltons appearance in 2015 and yes We missed Ben, Jason and Jim Bob. I wasn't much into the domestic stuff, though nice that the Home and Family people dressed as the Waltons cast. The nostalgia and Will Geer Museum was nice. Also Family Feud was fun and one last thing Judy Nortons song Time of your Life was a Paul Anka song one of my favorites but I don't believe she or they ever gave Paul Anka credit for the song. Mostly a good show though, still hoping for one last reunion movie and nice to some of the remaining Waltons in 2015!

I liked the reunion special on Home & Family. It would have been nice to see Eric Scott on there with them, but that's okay. It was still good and they got Richard Thomas who is probably the most busy of all of them, so that was an accomplishment in itself. Anyway, I really enjoyed hearing their memories of the show and the tributes to Ralph Waite and Will Geer. Also Judy Norton singing too since I had never heard her sing before. So that was a treat for me. I thought it was cute that the hosts dressed up like Olivia and John lol.

Was bored with the slim pickings one afternoon and just happened on one of those marathons featuring commentary by Mr. Hamner. I was hooked from then on.
Loved the "Typewriter" clip that was shown. Richard Thomas' acting in that scene was so over the top hilarious!
Need to get seeds for those teeny tiny watermelons that they showed so that I can plant them next summer.
Have only been able to look at half the show so far but it's been pretty good so far. Wonderful tributes to Mr Geer and Ms. Corby.

I think many people get this confused with Little House.

Yes like I said great show and reunion for the Waltons. And as I said maybe I'm being picky, but I think Judy Norton and the Home And Family show should have given Paul Anka credit for writing and performing the song Time of your Life first as a courtesy and maybe a copyright to the song. I wrote a nice note on Judy Nortons Facebook site too saying it was a great show and I just nicely tried to mention this too that she should have said something about Paul Anka doing the song my opinion. What do you think? As far as singing the song Judy did a great job and many other people have sang others songs and had hits so no problem there.
