Dear Friends, I writing this on my 92nd birthday, and I am filled with that warm sense of discovering that you are appreciated and loved and admired that comes with well wishes from family and friends. What never fails to amaze and delight me are some of the personal messages included in your greetings. For a sample here are just a few; “You inspired me to write and I am enclosing a copy of my new book!” “My family did not express love so to make up for my sadness I adopted your family as mine.” ”You changed my life. Your writing taught me to be a better person.” “When I was fourteen, I ran away from home. Mostly I lived on the streets, but one night in a shelter I saw your show and went home where I belonged.” “Your writing inspired me to get an education so I became the first member of my family to go on and graduate from college.” “I wish there were more shows today that showed family love, patriotism, and types of people I can relate to.” “I love the sound of your voice at the beginning and end of each show”. The only negative feeling I get is that there is no way in the world that I can answer each of your letters. But please know that they are appreciated and encourage me to keep on writing. Writing doesn’t come as easy as it has in the past. I am still fighting cancer. I had a terrible fall and had to learn to walk all over again and the mind doesn’t work as well at 92 as it did at 29. On the other hand for sixty years I have a loving and beautiful wife, two devoted and supportive grown children, and three of my brothers and sisters who inspired The Walton children are still alive. As you might expect we are still close and talk with each other at least once a week. It occurred to me that you know my books, television and movies, but there is more of my writing I would like you to try. It is on my BLOG. To get to it, go on the Internet and open earlhamner.com. Several choices will come up, go for the one that is marked Official. Call that one up and you will get a website that has different blocks such as Books, Movies, Television, Links and finally BLOG. Hit blog and you are there! I thank you for your friendship with all my heart Warmest wishes, Earl

This is a question and I know someone on here will have an answer I've looked online to no avail. Does anyone know if anyone has painted a picture or drawing of the Walton home and sells them? I would love to have one if I had any talent I would draw my own. Thank you in advance for an answer. :)Bev

Yes, I know a lady that has done a beautiful painting of the house. She even has Reckless on the front porch. She has different size prints of it, magnets, notepads, etc. I will get the contact info and post it on here.

Hi Fellow Waltons Fans, I know some people have been asking about the Waltons House print from my original painting. I have some to sell if you're interested. Please feel free to email me at elizjean2003@yahoo.com. We can discuss sizes, prices, etc. I've attached a thumbnail of what it looks like. Of course, the pink watermark is not on the actual prints. --Betsy

bev - This is the lady (above) that I was talking about that has prints of the Walton's house. I won one of them at a silent auction back in October 2014 at Carolyn Grinnell's Walton Reunion weekend. I have been meaning to call Carolyn to get her contact info about the print. Thankfully, the lady herself has posted her contact info above. It is a gorgeous, beautiful print.
