I'm sure some of us can come up with a number of examples, but for now these come to my mind:
In "The Stray" there is a sign that reads "For Colored Children" on the front of an orphanage.
In "The Recluse", there is a sign that reads "Men Only".
In "The Festival", an uppity old woman won't let Josh play his trumpet in her festival because he's black.
Verdi's daughter gets refused employment by J.D. Pickett in his plant because She's Black.
The Godsey's make a plaque in their store that lists the serving soldiers in their community. On that plaque they list the "colored" separately from the whites.
That's all I can think of for now. Can anyone think of more?

Ben and the other men in the POW camp sang "Dixie" in the episode The Pursuit. I'm not sure if that's politically correct these days or not.

Do you mean what was PC back then? All that you listed was PC for that time. And it wasn't just PC it was socially correct.
Lets not forget the poor woman and child that lost each other (well the child lost all of her ancestors, the woman only lost her child) in the episode were Olivia fostered the baby until the shinny new adopted parents without sin could be found (cough, cough). That was very PC for that time

I guess I am not following you with what you want. The list you gave isn't politically incorrect IN TODAY'S WORLD, it is against the law and vulgar.

Dictionary definition of politically correct: "agreeing with the idea that people should be careful to not use language or behave in a way that could offend a particular group of people"
Yes, the activities and behaviors that Glenn mentioned are illegal, repulsive and vulgar in today's world. In the 1930s and '40s, they were considered normal behaviors, but they were politically incorrect because they were offensive to particular groups of people. Thankfully, some people were politically correct (The Walton family, for example). That political correctness (people realizing how offensive those behaviors were to certain groups of people) is what led to laws being enacted making the activities illegal.
I think that's what Glenn was talking about, activities that were politically incorrect in the era of The Waltons. He can correct me if I'm wrong.

How about in The Stray the fact that John and Olivia couldn't keep Josh because he was black. Nowadays many white families adopt black or biracial children.
The Pledge. The dean at Boatwright won't let Mary Ellen enter pre med because she is a woman. He reluctantly allows her in at the end.

Those were the points I was trying to make. The dictionary definitions of the LANGUAGE AND THE BEHAVIOR are EXACTLY the points I was trying to make.

Experienced this first hand and all I can say is, "I'm truly blessed because of it."

Back then, black people even had to have their own churches. That's about as bigoted and unchristian as anyone can get!

By experienced this first hand I meant that my husband and I have adopted transracially.

It doesn't matter what you call it ,I'm glad a lot of it doesn't happen in America today. I think it's terrible that blacks were treated the way they were.I also think the waltons were G rated to the why blacks were actually treated in that time period.

They were never PC then and not now and I could not figure what was stumping me.

Being PC changes from generation to generation. Example: I am an RN. We are male and female. Many of our patients will ask me 'who was that male nurse'. Really, he is a nurse, period.
Also, recently, my hubby saw a post on FB that said to 'remember the female Veterans', with pics of women with one leg gone or both or an arm. He told me he thought this was a good point. I said 'no, that when you say remember the Veterans, you are now talking males and female.' They don't need to be differentiated. To me, that is PC for today.
