Is there such a thing as a CD with the Walton's music? I just love the music played in the background of almost all the episodes!

I'm not aware of anything like that, but I do have some music that I downloaded from iTunes. It's from an album by Jerry Goldsmith called 40 Years of Film Music. The Waltons music is 4 minutes long and includes the Waltons theme plus a lot of the background music from the first season.

Thanks. I LOVE the music on the show, particularly in the first few seasons. What I've been doing is recording snippets on the DVR in hopes of transcribing some of these to play on my alto recorder

I don't know anything about Itunes? Nuts I wish they had a CD! I have The Waltons music. You have to google Jerry Goldsmith and The Waltons. The first fifteen sound tracks are from The Homecoming. The rest of the CD is from The Rascals which I am not interested in. The CD is sold at Amazon.

Also, if you go to the website All About The Waltons (a link is at the bottom of this forum page) he has a page with every music clip from all the episodes! Amazing site!

That doesn't look like it has the music from the series. For instance, the music playing when John Boy pulls into the yard from a day of college in The Prophecy and John is so grumpy and hurts his thumb. Then the music that plays when Zach Roswell pulls up to the mill in the same episode. Some of the tunes are used over and over in several episodes. It's just all so beautiful and it a shame they're not on a CD.

Glad you like the site. The man who made it is such a nice man. I met him this past fall at the Reunion in Lynchburg.
