My most favorite moment between John-Boy and Elizabeth is in The Cradle when he finds her crying at the windowsill after Mama lost the baby. He tells her that he feels sad about it also and that they have each other, which makes it all better. He then gives her a hug, carries her to her bed, tucks her in, reads her a poem and kisses her goodnight. That was such a wonderful scene.
I also like in The Substitute when Elizabeth goes to John-Boy's room at night and tells him she can't sleep because she wants to know what happens to Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher. He had read a little bit of Tom Sawyer when he was watching the class for Miss Hunter. He then tells her what happens and she promises not to tell anyone, and he gives her a kiss goodnight. Another great scene.
I also like in The Burn Out when she is up in the tree house and John-Boy finds her there. She tells him that she will not care about anyone anymore because she feels that terrible things happen because she cares for people and things too much. He then tells her that people and things don't die from being loved too much; it's just the way life is. He then tells her the best thing is to be surrounded by the people you love. She then gives him a hug. Another wonderful scene.

I like the scene between when John Boy comes home from the war,and Elizabeth sees him coming, and she runs out to meet him,and they hug.Another scene I like is when they are saying their good night's,and Elizabeth tells Elizabeth, tell John Boy about seeing him in new york, and John Boy says something a about Waltons Mountain, and it not being like New York, and Elizabeth said New York City will have you.In another good night scene,Elizabeth asked John Boy about who he would write about for tv,and John Boy said what he knew about, his family, and would call the tv show The Waltons.

When Elizabeth was first learning to write, wrote the word "bird," and John-Boy said he could just picture that bird!

My favorite moment between John-boy and Elizabeth is from the episode "The Achievement." When John-boy comes home from New York the first time and Elizabeth asks about the new book from Katherine Herbert and John-boy tells her that she's died and all he has is an autographed book and a page from her manuscript that she was working on. She tell him that maybe she'll like his book just as much and he says "I hope so." I love that moment between them.

I also like the moment in the Christmas episode where John Boy is working on the printing press, and Elizabeth expresses her concern for mama, because she feels like it's the last Christmas everyone will be together. Elizabeth says to John Boy, " don't tell mama I told you". John Boy says, " oh, I'm gonna go tell her right now". Elizabeth hits him with her gloves and I like the way Richard Thomas laughs in that scene

I think that there is a great scene in The Return, season 6. It's when John Boy goes to the shed, and he opens his suitcase. His clothes are missing, rather they are in the closet. Elizabeth is in entryway to the shed, and has him guess about who got the room all ready for him. John Boy says something about deciding to grow up as a young lady, and Elizabeth responds that she's not sure, as she was just getting started.

My favorite moments between them are the little things, like in The Boy From the CCC when he was worried when he thought she had run off when he was saving the Racoon from Gino and when he was offering to catch her a new one or comforting her in the Homecoming when she opened up the broken doll. I also really like the moment in the Burnout when he finds her in the tree house and helps her realize that just because she loves somone or something doesn't mean they die.

I enjoyed the way he taught her or tried to help her learn to write. He also taught Verdie to read in that episode. It was also nice when he brought back a page from the uncompleted manuscript of a book started by her favorite author who had died. This was when he went to NY before leaving the series.
