I liked the character of Olivia's aunt Kate who we see in The Milestone, it would have been nice to have had a little more contribution to the family's life from her in some other episodes.
But to have someone like that who you can go to no matter what the problem is, no matter when you need to go to them, and they will welcome you into their home and heart with open arms and wont let you go until everything is okay again.
Does anyone here have their own special 'aunt Kate'...?

I had an Aunt Vera. She was sort of like Aunt Kate, I guess. My mother had 5 sisters, and my dad had 2 sisters, but my mother's sister, Aunt Vera, was the only one I grew up with, as the others lived far away. Aunt Vera was like a second mother to me. We would go to her house and stay when our mother was working, and she was always lots of fun. She continued to be a wonderful aunt to our children and grandchildren. A few years ago, when she was nearly 90, my daughter and I went to visit her and took my granddaughter, who was about 2 at the time. Aunt Vera took her out in the back yard and played with her. She was forever young. Aunt Vera passed away in 2007 at the age of 94. When my mother celebrated her 90th birthday a couple of years ago, friends and family wrote down memories for her that we put in a book. That's when I found out that my cousin, Aunt Vera's son, thought of my mother as a second mother. She was his Aunt Kate.

Good to know our Brenda will live to be at least 100!

I can't think of any one aunt but I think I am that person to many people. I have always been the one my daughter and her friends come to when they want an answer to something. And they always knew they would get a straight answer....no babies in cabbage patches answers!

I got a nice complement yesterday from one of the teachers at my school. She said she loves how I will take the time to teach people things like how to make pie.
She lost her mother when she was twenty one and she said she feels like she missed out on so many things that people share with their mothers.

Lol...you're going to have to explain to everyone what that means now. Not until we trademark the name!
