Miss Scarlett or Miss O'Hara?
I would call a child by her first name, but adding the prefix changes it to the last name.
I have only used the last name in conjunction with Miss, Mrs, Ms. or Mr.
Which one is appropriate for your neck of the woods?

In my neck of the woods we called children by their first nsme and adults Mr. Mrs. or Miss. There was no Ms. when I was younger. I do like the southern way though of Miss (first name ) though.

Miss (last name) The only time I heard it by first name was on TV or in the movies. Never heard anyone ever in person say Miss (first name)

I've used "Miss (First Name)" from time to time. When I was a youngin our local kids show was hosted by "Miss Judy" so there was some precedent in our area for using it. I have a niece named Madison and my Mom has been known to call her "Miss Mad".

Here in Alabama, children considered well-raised call older women Miss plus first name. For example, the neighbor children call me "Miss Clyde".Same custom for older men -Mr. plus first name. I myself do this when addressing the one or two people I know who are older than I. Growing up, however, I addressed all adults as Mr. or Mrs. plus last name.

I always call women, "Mam"
They love it.
I think I have told this story before, but I worked in customer service taking phone calls, and a lady was like, "Don't call me "Mam !!!!!!!!".....
I was like , " Gee, I'm sorry , SIR, I apologize"

I was like , " Gee, I'm sorry , SIR, I apologize" I only objected to "Mam" when I first heard it. Now it doesn't bother me. In fact, someone saying "young lady" to me bothers me more. I don't think anyone wants to be considered old, but women in particular find it harder to deal with as they age. I think it has something to do with their looks.

With one or two exceptions I've always used Miss/Mr first name. Even now at 49 years old I still use a title when addressing an elder. I don't feel right out using one. Nowadays I hear children calling elders first name only.Is respect for elders not taught anymore?

Redford is like 85 years old. he looks pretty good compared to a 85 year old woman.
on the average they are.
edit- he s 78
Lucci is 68
Lets see Lucci in 10 years
I could put a pic of Sean Connery or Harrison ford next to lucci and they would look better.

That is a pic of Redford in his 60's. Old is old and not very kind to either genders. If Sean Connery has been married for over 30 years, what woman/women is he slapping? That makes no sense. Are they random women he meets on the street?

The title-plus-first-name form sort of fails when you end up with Uncle Tom or Mister Ed (of course, of course).

You and my dad would have hit it off great.
