Here is a happy story. I was 18, going to college during the day and working at a bank at night processing deposits. I was on vacation for the week and had just come back from a vacation to Hershey, Pennsylvania with my parents. I was relaxing at home and my cousin called and wanted me to go roller skating with her. I didn't want to go because I was tired. But she kept asking me so I said yes. We went to the rink and we were just skating around and enjoying ourselves when the announcer said to clear the floor. My cousin and I were standing by the low wall looking out onto the rink when they started to dim the lights. The announcer then said it was Ladies Choice. Now, I had never, ever asked anyone to dance or skate but as I stood there a loud insistent voice said to turn around and ask someone to skate. Before I could even think about it, I turned around and about twenty feet behind me were two young men. There was no one else there but the two of them. One was tall and had on a light shirt that I could see in the dim light. Without thinking I walked up to him and asked him to skate. It was Mark. We were married the next year! Many years later he told me that he had seen me skating and thought I was pretty but that he was too shy to ever ask me to skate. He always said it was God's voice giving him a hand! Now that is a very sweet story!!! I wish my "voice" had been more helpful in the men department. Could have saved me a lot of wasted time. LOL

That's a great story. Life can be strange, sad or wonderful depending on how it works out. So glad that 'it' brought you and Mark together.

I've mentioned some things here on the forum before, so bear with me. I have had a little voice in my head tell me things in the past:
I have told myself that if I ever hear that little voice again...I am absolutely, positively, definitely going to listen to it.
Kimberly, I am so sorry for both of your losses. In particular with Hank, what a difficult thing to go through. You must not blame yourself, though, and know that Hank is at peace now and he knew he was well loved when he was with you. I'm sure that Hank was never alone, even as he left this earth.
What you describe about the "voice" in your head is what I experience as well. It's only happened a few times, but it's always been very specific.
I'm so glad to hear that you also have had a "voice" in your head telling you specific stuff too. There has been a lot of times when I have told what has happened to me about "my little voice", and the look some people give me...like they think I'm deranged, don't believe me or who knows what!

LOLThe weird thing is that I had not been skating in many years. I usually worked nights. And Mark only went skating on Thursdays. What are the odds that I was there on a Thursday night and that I was in that exact spot when they called Ladies' Choice? Hum...makes you wonder!

I thought the same thing. It is nice to hear other people experience this same thing. I usually don't talk about it because it is too weird!

My mother used to say, "The whole world is crazy except for you and me. And sometimes I have my doubts about you!" LOL!

I have had two. My Grandmother used to have them all the time and they always came out true. It runs on our family. My mother, sister and niece have them as well. The one time i did not listen to mine, someone very special died.

Not much comfort when it is someone special.

In The Premonition, Cindy had a premonition that something bad would happen to Ben, and guess what? Just wondering if anyone here has ever had a premonition - good or bad (I think they tend to be bad) that came true? Spooky stuff. Every time my daughter told me she was pregnant, I told her what the gender of the baby was, and I was right!

I tend to know when people have died.... several times, "something" has told me -- not necessarily at the very moment, but soon.... and it's usually people who live far away whom I haven't seen in many years, people whose health I knew nothing about.... It used to freak me out, but now I accept it and am thankful.
My Mom frequently felt "beckoned" somewhere -- knew she belonged somewhere else.... their last move was a result of such a feeling -- when they visited the area I was suggesting, she saw an Indian in the woods motioning to her to follow him. (of course, I was very glad that happened !)
Oh, and I've never been a gambler -- never bet on anything, except maybe an office pool which I can't avoid ! -- but my ESP seems to work rather well when it comes to those Ping-Pong balls coming up as lottery numbers are announced.... I frequently know each individual number a couple of seconds before it comes up.... weird.

When my husband and I were engaged and he was still living in England I had this feeling all of a sudden that something was wrong and he was in the hospital.I couldn't call him because it was after 11 pm in England so I waited until the next day. I told myself someone would call me if something was actually wrong and that it's all in my imagination anyway but I still couldn't shake the feeling. The following day I called him and he told me he had been in the ER which in England they call the A&E the night before. He had a cyst on the back of his neck and it had burst so he went there to have it seen to.
