Of all the channels we get with our cable we don't have the UP channel. I don't know much about the channel other than I've heard they run the Walton's. We've got The Homecoming on DVD and watched it around Thanksgiving but I am ready to watch it again this week! Tuesday evening sounds perfect to get this wonderful gem out again!
"The summer of 1937 was a summer to remember, because it was the summer that Martha Corinne came to visit. She was buried on the mountain next to Henry, and the graves were never again overgrown with weeds because as she said, "neglected graves are a shameful thing." ~ Earl Hamner, "The Pony Cart"
I did a search on our Bright House cable system, and indeed, the only hits were Sun 12/20, 1:00 am and Mon 12/21, 11:00 pm [Eastern], on both UP 168 and UPHD 1317. Of course, your channel numbers would vary.
Checking out the channel, which I hadn't encountered before, I find that it's "Uplifting Entertainment," and that it was just now (10 am) running a 1995 movie, The Christmas Box, starring none other than Richard Thomas! You might watch out for that one.
Searching on his name shows that he's also in something called The Christmas Secret (2000), on the Hallmark Mystery channel, and that has a few more showings this week.
You really should get a "video downloader" application in order to save particularly interesting things from YouTube and such, as those things come and go. Usually the files are only a few hundred megabytes. Try www.freemake.com.
As the built-in Windows video player isn't always adequate, you might want to get VLC Media Player or GOM Player to play these back.
