I am curious if it was mentioned why David Harper wasn't able to attend this year? It was sweet of him to put together a slideshow tribute to Ralph. Kimberly, I wondered who won that beautiful picture of the Walton house!! Good for you!! Between you and Dagmar... another diehard fan! I bet you both put up a good "fight"!!
David also called Carolyn Grinnell Friday night (10/31) at the meet and greet. I was talking to Carolyn when he called her. Then he called again at the beginning of the reunion dinner on Saturday night (11/01) to wish her a Happy Birthday and chat with all of us. He said that he would try to make the reunion next year. I'm pretty sure the reunion phone call is in one of Ryan James' videos that he has put on youtube. I haven't had time to watch all of his videos yet.
By David mentioning next year in the phone conversation, I hope that means that Carolyn is definitely planning on having another one in 2015.
There seems to have been a mix-up on that Walton house picture. The silent auction was ending at 9:30 p.m. and all of us that was interested in something rushed back up there right before the deadline. Someone else already had a bid on it and Dagmar then put down a bid. I then bid what I thought was a dollar more than Dagmar, when they said the auction was over. When they called out the winners of the items, they called my name on the house print. Dagmar said in her post to me that she had bid more than what my bid was...so I don't know what happened because they called out my name, they must not have looked at the bids close enough.
Anyway, now I feel bad about the mix-up. The woman who did the print was seated at my table at last year's reunion. She was in attendance again this year and I had her sign the print. I am going to try my best to get in touch with her and see if she has any more prints and if so what she will sell one of them to me for so I can send it to Dagmar.
I think you are fine with your bid and did win the print. At 9:30 I started to add my name below yours with a bid but I knew you really wanted that picture so I crossed out my name (there was no bid). Then the person picked up the paper as I was standing there so I know there was no higher bid then yours and yours was the last.

I am not quiet sure what you want to say with it but unfortunately you are wrong. I know what you have bidden, what I have bidden and I saw what foreverWaltons wrote down directly after me and I was wondering about it. Then Cynthia said it is 9:30 and it is over. In the end Kimberly got the picture because her name was the last one on the paper. Somebody noticed all this, came over to me and made me a friendly offer . I also talked to the auctioneer and got the same offer so the situation was cleared up. Like I wrote before in my post to foreverWaltons - there is no more problem.

It was a great time. My husband really enjoyed himself also. He even brought my butter churn into the hotel so I could have fresh butter with my breakfast! Not every day you see someone strolling through a hotel lobby with a big butter churn! Loved that, the butter churn. Someone asked me why he was carrying that in the hotel and I responded ' his wife like fresh churned butter'. The person who asked me had a quick, fun response 'he must have strong arms' LOL

Sometimes mix-ups can occur at auctions as things happen so fast.

Dagmar does that mean that you were able to buy a print of the Walton's house?

For Kimberly - Just us on the ride home, some big trucks, and a little Dr. Pepper! Love your new avatar Kathy Lee! Was the Kathy Coca-Cola bottle keeping company/riding shotgun with that Dr Pepper bottle? Yep! Now I have a lonely Coke bottle in my refrigerator! Boy, is it ever raining today! I stayed home all day. Made a pot of soup, making biscuits in a few minutes, and put away all the Halloween decorations. Mark will out the boxes up in the attic tonight. He came home for lunch today and it was so nice. We used to do that all the time before I went to work. Tomorrow, I am going to the teacher's convention in Atlantic City. I take the train and it drops me off right in the convention center.
