On top of having a great time at the reunion, the kind people of Virginia sure know how to make you feel welcome. This is the photo I couldn't upload from my phone while we were driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway. So it appears that Kimberly's thoughtfulness knows no bounds. Look what she was able to get done for me!!!
You wouldn't believe all of the trouble I went through to get that street named just for you.

Mr. Forever and I shared a table at the reunion with Jane (MrsOliviaWalton), Peggi (weezer29), Brenda, Russell, Ryan James and Sharon (timetraveler). Believe it or not I was passing out coca-cola name bottles. I got Karen for kazk, Bree for jimbobwaltonlover94, Ryan for Ryan James, Kathy for Kathy Lee, Pat for patriciaanne, Michelle for michellet, Kim for myself but since my name is Kimberly I put my finger after the Kim when we took pictures, so it looked like I was covering up the "berly" in Kimberly. I had to give bottles with "Share a coke with friends" for all the other forum members. I had a bottle with Michael on it. Michael Learned let me take a picture of her with it and she autographed it for me. Cissy Wellman autographed one that had 'Star' on it and Carolyn Grinnell signed one with 'Legend' on it. I did bring myself a Dr Pepper bottle and can to drink at the reunion as they only serve water and unsweet tea (you can sweeten it with sugar). Kimberly, that is so kind, thoughtful and sweet of you to get all those people bottles of coke with their name on it. Fantastic!!!!
The Coca-Cola name bottles came out in mid July. If I had a quarter for every time I looked through a cooler and a dime for every coke bottle I checked, I would be smiling. I would have to empty a row of bottles by placing them on the floor, then look through the next row by placing them into that empty row and repeat over and over until I had checked all the bottles. Then I put back the bottles that I had placed on the floor. Every cooler had 4 to 6 rows of bottles. I would do that two to four times a week at quite a few stores. The clerks started expecting me and would want to know what names are you looking for? Which ones did you find today?
I also got them for my nieces, nephews and some of my children (they did not offer all of their names). The campaign has played out now and it's rare to find any name bottles still left in the stores.

Think of the most thoughtful person you have ever met and Kimberly will make them look like someone who kicks puppies for fun.
I am reading the kind and thoughtful gestures that Kimberly did for all of you at the reunion. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing a personal thought of my own here as well. When I had all hope of attending my very first reunion suddenly taken away at the very last minute, Kimberly remembered me as well. Something special was in my mailbox on Friday and I was moved from her loving thoughtfulness and kindness. I didn't get the opportunity to meet you, Kimberly, but feel like I already know you. Love 'ya my Walton friend. God willing, I will meet you and everyone else in 2015.
I hope I was able to put a smile on your face Jan. Looking forward to all of us getting together in 2015 (Lord willing).

Back home in New Hampshire with some wonderful memories (and of course, some souvenirs!) I'll start off by saying that The Kirkley Hotel is a beautiful venue for the Reunion. Carolyn does such a great job with every little detail. Noone knew me by name, but when I told some people that I was Emerald City the reaction was so funny, I chuckle every time I think of it. So many wonderful people, all with the same love of 'everything Waltons'. Michael Learned is such a sincere, gracious lady. She shared some great memories of working with everyone on the show and especially of Ralph Waite. Cissy Wellman has a terrific sense of humor! Both women are absolutely beautiful and were so generous with the time they gave everyone. I never expected that I would have that many opportunities to mingle with them. The Tribute to Ralph Waite was very moving. David Harper put together an amazing slide show of Ralph (not a dry eye in the house). Visiting Schuyler was so interesting. The Hamner Home has been restored to perfection. When I walked into 'The Kitchen', 'The Living Room' and 'Ike Godsey's Store' in the The Walton Museum, it took my breath away! Thank You, Carolyn, for all the work you did to make this happen and Thank You, Fellow Walton Fans for being so friendly. It was such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. A special Thank You to Kimberly. You are one of the most thoughtful people I have ever met
It was so wonderful to not only meet you , but to hear that your daughter is now cancer free was priceless.

She is such a kind person and brought thoughtful gifts for everyone. The entire weekend was awesome! It did not rain on Saturday, the Rockfish Post Office was open. Spending time with everyone was great. And of course, getting to meet Michele and Cissy was off the charts!
