Jeri, I'm in Baltimore. I watched the Star Spangled Celebration on TV in the comfort of my living room. No way was I going downtown in that mob. I thought it was a really good show. Hi Carol, you are not that far from me. I live in the Philadelphia area. Hey me too, I live about an hour south west of Philly. We should have a members get together in the area. Actually I'm exactly half way between Philly and Baltimore

It came up for me. I put Kimberly for my name, ForeverWaltons for my forum name, then for the message I put "Sweet Home Alabama". It asked what state I was from - I put Alabama. Then it just disappeared on me before I could click the button to post it. Now I cannot bring the map up at all.
I don't know what browser you are using, but on my Firefox browser, the map opens up in a new window. If I accidentally click outside that window, it seems to disappear, but it is still there. I can find it by using my mouse to hover over the Firefox icon in the system tray below. Everyone's computer is different, and people use different browsers with different settings, but I have a feeling it is still there and probably minimized somewhere on your computer.
I got my little red-headed pigtailed self on the map now. Thanks!

I got on there, but I think Kimberly is sitting on my head. They don't give a person much room!

I hope I gave enough room for Daniela to put herself on the map. It might look like we are Siamese twins if she does. lol
After more people place themselves on the map, it will look like a snapshot from the old board game of RISK.

Don't think there are any other Alabamians on the Forum - if so, let's hope they live in Mobile so they can put themselves out in the Gulf of Mexico!

Last time I put myself on the map Dowsee, I ended up in the Atlantic Ocean...floating around...by myself...all alone...until Scarlett rescued me! I'll try to put myself in later tonight. We will be Siamese twins for sure!

This time Scarlett can rescue Cindy, who is probably freezing to death right now wayyyy above Alaska, in the middle of the water.

It took a few tries but finally got it to work.... I suspect it didn't take until I put something in the comments box....
Thanks, Brenda!

At least you're not adrift in the water again. You are on dry land.

I found it extremely difficult to zoom in enough to "pin" an appropriate spot.... and, it's a little easier to "divide up" close-by members if you use the dots instead of the icons.... everything is just too small and fuzzy -- I selected an icon without really knowing what it was !!

I just went into the settings and changed the "default" to dots instead of icons; at least I think I did. You are right, it doesn't zoom well, and the icons are too big. Also, I'm still trying to send a life raft to Cindy, but I haven't had much luck.
