Walton Fans, jmho, But this has to be 1 of my all time favorites. The D-45 Martin 'Mr. Haggard' played at the Dew Drop that night was indeed His. It was a custom 'hand made' instrument -As all Martins are- . The Guitar Body, Neck, & Headstock with all the Beautiful Abalone Purfling & In Lay is beautiful. I dont know the year the Martin was made, but in todays price list, it would cost about $70,000. Martin is considered The Rolls Royce in Acoustic Guitars. My 2 Martins dont have all the Inlay & abalone as Mr. Haggards, But I learned many Years & $$ ago. Looks has very little to do with 'Pickin'. It Takes Practice, Practice, Practice,. "" Question Is"" How many of our Walton Forum Fans are Musicians?. Pro or Just for Pleasure?. Best Wishs, Jerry Well, you know my feelings about my Gibson.... ... And, it's one of my favorite episodes, too.... We did a thread quite a while ago about instruments that members play, but it's time to do it again, so I'm glad you asked the question !!
Jerry, why don't you start a new thread for us ?!

I love that episode and the Turner one that preceded it, "The Gift" with Ron Howard. Definitely two of my favorites.

Yes, very sad but definitely a classic. Jon Walmsley turned in such a strong performance as Jason. One of his best ever.

The Gift was directed by Ralph Senesky (spelling?) and is one of the episodes he discusses on his blog. If you haven't already seen it, take a look. Very interesting!
