So, I know that quite a few people here are writers (in fact, I think I made a thread about it!) but, I wanted to ask, how many of you are directly inspired by The Waltons? Because I certainly am! I've used my John-Boy doll in three different strips in my webcomic, and I've written two Walton fanfictions, one which I now think is rather poorly written and can be found on this forum, and another I posted elsewhere. I also find that it has encouraged me to write more about real life, and things that actully happened. How does The Waltons influence your writing? And please share any examples (if you want)

Oh, I don't think they come with an age limit

John-Boy did not inspire me to be a writer as I was writing before the Waltons came out. I will say however that watching him write on the show seems to break my writer's block.

Kronker, I'm not sure that anybody could reasonably object to the fact that I own a John-Boy figure. So, I'm not going to hide the fact that I own one on the off chance that I come across somebody who might find it strange. Sussie, yes, I know what you mean it has cured me of Writer's Block once or twice as well!

Seems I've missed something. I'm assuming this 'Kronker' person may have come here to stir up trouble. I noticed that they joined three hours ago, had 18 posts but now they are all deleted. Their avatar of the 'punk rocker' was like "WOW!" I have no problem with you owning a John-Boy figure AR15.

I love your keeper Sussie, John Walton's union suit.

Since Kronker's posts have disappeared, I'll explain what he or she said here so that nobody will be confused (however, if it's wrong to write about posts that were deleted I am sorry). First Kronker wrote that I was a 'big boy' and shouldn't have a John-Boy doll anymore, then after that said they had no problem with it, but I should keep it to myself because people might find it strange. Again, sorry if I wasn't supposed to write that, I am just clarifying for anybody who see this thread and it looks like I'm just talking to myself

When I first saw Kronker's postings, I thought "Oh, no, not another one...." he had other questionable postings, not just to AR15.... Glad he disappeared -- or maybe Brenda, our protector, took care of him. If so, GOOD JOB !!

He's gone. Now waiting for the next weirdo to show up so I can show him the exit as well.

Sorry you had to deal with that. My daughter is 36 and still keeps her blankey under her pillow at night. Ummm. Sorry Rebecca!
