Clyde, did you live in a commune? For a short time-turned out not to be my thing. Oh my. And I didn't go away to college because I couldn't stand the thought of sharing a room with a stranger (or anyone else for that matter). I could never understand people having live-in nannies because I couldn't stand someone living in my home that wasn't part of my family. I guess that's why I can relate to the Walton girls giving Toni the cold shoulder.

I was a hopelessly faithful Waltons fan from the beginning. Then, when "Welcome Back, Kotter" came on, I needed to miss the first half-hour to placate my siblings. We did not own a color set until the summer of 1981, so I caught the original run in glorious black and white. Happy Anniversary to my favorite TV family. It has been a wonderful ride. So glad to have had the blessing of meeting most of the surviving cast members.
