I've always wondered why name tags aren't used.... Especially for all the non-forum attendees -- it's nice to have the names at all times, instead of trying to remember them.... and for ease of starting up a conversation initially.

We always have name tags. But often forum members don't use their real name on the forum, and we don't know who they are until they introduce themselves.

I met Brenda in Burbank California at the Waltons reunion in 2012. I knew what she looked like because she had a picture of herself posted on the forum. At that time I just had an avatar of Will Geer (Grandpa) holding a candlestick and Christmas wreath.
I went right up to her and said, "Hello Brenda, do you know who I am?" I waited a few seconds to tell her who I was just to see her reaction, because I knew that she had no way of knowing who in the world I was. To me her reaction was "Who's this crazy woman and how does she know me?" I then let her know that I was ForeverWaltons from the forum. She still looked at me like I was crazy! (Just kidding ).
Mr. Forever and I are attending the reunion unless something major happens or comes up. We are from Alabama and we will be staying at The Kirkley Hotel.

Ahhh..... it's coming back to me from last year, and now I remember what I was thinking back then.... that I thought it would be a cute idea to have the name tags show one's real name and then forum ID in quotes underneath, or something....
I just think it can be so difficult in a huge sea of people, and not everyone finds it easy to march up to someone and introduce themselves....

I know what you mean, Mr. Forever and I always take the foreverettes trick or treating. I always take lots of pictures too. We are going to miss out going with them this year but hopefully their big sister, aunt, uncle and nieces will take pictures for me.

We always trick or treat with the grandchildren also. I am one of those goofy people who always dresses up. My husband? No way! They will wonder where we are. Luckily, my daughter is having the birthday party later. The day before Halloween is not the best day for a party. My daughter lives one mile from me so we spent a lot of time with her and the grandchildren. Her husband works long hours so we help wherever we can. I am really looking forward to the reunion.

I must be a bad wife, my hubby's Bday is 10/29 and I will be leaving him to fend for himself on his birthday weekend. LOL
