Just watching The Moonshiner and the bit where Boone tells Jason about his life. I always wondered about the line from Martha-Corinne down to Wade and still am confused. I was under the impression that Wade was Boone's son, or even grandson, yet Boone tells Jason that his wife Rose and young son Henry were killed in a flood. I get the impression that Henry was very young when killed along with his mother Rose. No mention by Boone of Wade - so where does Wade fit into things if Rose got killed?

It's just another inconsistency that the writers thought no one would notice. So maybe Boone had another son besides young Henry who did grow up to adulthood and had a son named Wade. We can make up whatever storyline we want, I guess. I also miss Mr. Atkins's website.

I last used it in April, but then it was gone in June..... this has happened before, so maybe it will come back again -- if so, I'm going to copy everything into Word documents !! .... Good to keep mentioning it, because maybe an Atkins family member will read of our interest and make it available.....

In the episode "The Pony Cart" where JohnBoy takes Martha Corinne to see her family graves, I recall seeing a Floyd Walton next to the graves of Henry Sr. and Henry Jr. I thought perhaps he was Boone's other son and Wade's father. Wade and Vera named their baby boy Floyd.
In the episode "The Conflict", Grandma remarks that the last time they were up there, Boone was drinking moonshine after his wife's funeral. Jason and the other boys talk about finding arrowheads the last time they were up there. So this would have been a considerable amount of time after Rose Jamison and her little Henry because Boone married her when he was young. So I think there is meant to be 2 wives/families for Boone.
Also, he introduces Wade as his grandson.

I saw the episode tonight where Vera was about ready to leave Wade and he got arrested for running moonshine. John called Wade Boone's nephew instead of grandson. Hmmm? Where is Boone supposed to have a nephew if his only brother (only sibling at all) died as an infant?

I always wondered about this also. I think we all need to sit did with a little moonshine to help us figure it out! I really like the Boone and Martha Corinne episodes. I wish they had done more.

Early-onset senioritis on John's part..... quite true to life !!

Boone was awesome.
Shooting that progress sign with a shotgun is hilarious.

I have been to the Blue Ridge Mountains many times and there is so much documentation about the displaced families. Very interesting reading.
