I saw this on The Waltons Remembered Fb page. Apparently Earl had a kidney removed last week. Marian Slight shared Earl Hamner's photo. 2 hrs · Edited Hello Walton remembered fans can you please send some prayers to Earl Hamner today thank you www.facebook.com/groups/TheWaltonsRemembered/www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=661352730608142&set=a.108819029194851.14253.100002002647210&type=1Scott Hamner DAD'S FIRST SELFIE! To all of you who had not heard, my father had a kidney out last week on his 91st birthday! They are keeping a careful eye on him to be certain there are no problems from the anesthesia. He is resting comfortably and getting excellent care -- and amazing all his doctors with his remarkable constitution. And, as any one of you that knows him would expect, he has charmed all the nurses and is getting extra applesauce. Thank you for all your kind remarks!

Thank you for telling us, Carol. Seems like things are going ok, but I will most definitely add my prayers for a speedy recovery. I flinch whenever I hear of Earl being in the hospital, much like I would if it was a member of my own family. I'm sitting here watching the marathon (again--they played it not that long ago it seems) and watching the snippets of Earl throughout. Those are my favorite moments.

I was watching the marathon also and listening to Earl is the best part. Glad to hear he is doing we'll.

You asked for it...and here it is :

This address is courtesy of forum member Ryan James. He used it earlier this year and got a reply from Mr. Hamner.
