I'm getting excited about this reunion. I can't wait to see everyone and meet some of you for the first time. I wish everyone on the forum could go. Now I need to hope and pray that my husband has a good recovery from his surgery.

Hi Everyone, This note is to let you know that I have been busy getting our "Wonderful Walton Week-end" ready for you. We have another cast commitment! Cissy Wellman will be joining us. She has never been to a reunion in VA so she is excited! Some of you met her at our CA reunions. She is a sweetheart. She will have some "Yancy Tucker" stories to share with us as she was his Walton Wife! The reunion letter with the info that you need to be with us will go out soon! So reserve the dates - OCTOBER 31 and November 1, 2014 for a memorable week-end. I am looking forward to seeing many of you. On your reservation form mention that you are on the Forum and I will try to put you all at the same table - or at least tables near each other. :-) I can't wait. This will be my first reunion. Thanks for arranging everything!

Remember to mention on the reservation form that you are on the forum. That way Carolyn will try her best to sit forum members together or as close together as possible at the dinner. Are you picking up the tab for breakfast? Just kidding. I personally don't mind you joining us. Meals that can be shared with whomever anyone wants to are: breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings, dinner on Friday night after the meet and greet, plus Mr. Forever and I plan on eating lunch at Isis Ringrose's luncheon on Saturday. Those that go to Schuyler on Saturday can choose to eat their lunch there. Five dollars is a great price, we went by there last year and she had all kinds of good looking food. She also had out lots of candy...I believe that was pretty popular among the ones of us running around together. You know what I look like because of my avatar...you will have to come up to me and introduce yourself. Are you coming alone or will your boyfriend be with you? Remember that Virginia is on Eastern Standard Time. I am on Central Standard Time so I always have to remember to live an hour ahead in time. Oh yes...I would love to go to Isis Ringrose's house! I also want to go to Schyler. As we get closer, I'll message you my cell phone number and if you message me yours, I can text you so we can meet up. I will be bringing my boyfriend, who is being a wonderful sport about this. He does like The Waltons, though, Maybe not to the degree that I do, but he does like them. My husband is coming too. He is not as big a fan as I am but he is being a good sport about the trip also.,We have been to Schuyler before but never in the church or the Ringrose house.

Do you do this every year and when does it take place? Kimberly has a lot of information about the reunion. Also, look at the recent posts. There is information about the reunion there. Hope this helps!

Do you do this every year and when does it take place? Hi Ariel. This is my first one. They have them every year at around this time. As I understand it, the 2012 one was on CA and attendees got to visit the Waltons house on the back lot. (It's not the original house, which burned down, but a reproduction they built for the Waltons movies.) I think I've seen people say they have tried in the past to take turns between CA and VA. The advantage of having them in CA is that you're likely to get more attendees among the cast, who primarily live out there. I'm glad this one is in VA. Beautiful time of year for that part of the country and I'm looking forward to seeing the original town that inspired Earl Hamner's work.

This is going to be fun! You will love the town. It is small and everything is in walking distance. It is a quiet place and lovely. Also, Charlottesville is about a half hour away and is a great place to visit. Many historical houses, University of Virginia, shopping, and restaurants.

We were the only people in the house. It is surreal to look out the bedroom window that Earl looked out as a child. The house is small. Just don't expect the house on the set! I think Earl once joked that his whole house could have fit into the living room on the set!
