I so want one! Can I get it in Canada? Yes, Hallmark ornaments are available in the United States and Canada. They are priced higher in Canada though.

I noticed the price is $17.95 in the US. That is not too bad! I was expecting about $45.00. Also, the music is great. And, like everyone said, the voices are terrible. I wished they had used a clip of the real voices. I have off today. It was so, so nice to sleep in this morning!

This is wonderful. I'll have get this ornament this year. Strange to hear different voices. I guess, they couldn't record the original version of them saying good night.

So, that we each got a Walton ornament.

I am thrilled that Hallmark is offering this ornament but just think how WONDERFUL it would have been, if they had released it in 2012!?!
They could have offered it at their July (2012) ornament premiere. I would have bought two of them and when I went to both the Walton's reunions in October 2012 in California...On the first one I could of had Ralph (John Sr.), Jon (Jason), Judy (Mary Ellen), Mary (Erin), Eric (Ben), David (Jim Bob) and Kami (Elizabeth) autograph it on the back and bottom of it. Then hopefully somewhere down life's road I could get Michael (Olivia) and Richard (John Boy) to autograph it.
On the second one I could have gotten Joe (Ike), Ronnie (Corabeth), Rachel (Amy), Lynn (Verdie), Hal (Harley), Tony (Drew), Tom (Curt), Leslie (Cindy), Mariclare (Rosemary) and Deirdre (Daisy) to autograph it. I would have brought a fine tip permanent marker so they could have wrote their name small. LOL!
I can't wait to find out who Carolyn has lined up for this year's reunion. If I get to go, hopefully I can get them to autograph it.

I pre-ordered four of these at my local Hallmark Shop. They will not be released until October.

Just a reminder to everyone that this ornament debuts at your local Hallmark store tomorrow - Saturday 10/4/2014. I put one on reserve and will be picking it up tomorrow. I plan on having Michael Learned autograph it on the back or bottom at the reunion.
Hallmark debuts their ornaments in July, October and December of every year. It would have been sweet if they had debuted this one in July 2012. I could have bought two or three of them and had them autographed at both of the California Walton Reunions that I attended on 9/28 & 9/29/12. Ralph Waite and Joe Conley's would have been on it. Then I could have gotten Michael's this year...that would have just left Richard Thomas' to acquire. Well, it will do no good to cry over spilt milk, at least Hallmark is releasing it - better late than never.

I hope we will find a Hallmark shop when we come to Virginia. Let us hope the ornaments are not sold out then .

Being the state Earl Hamner Jr. hails from and also close to Schuyler, they may be sold out of them by October 31st. I have sent you a PM.

OK, so I listened to the audio. The music part is great, but the 'good night' audio is horrible!! I wish they could have digitally remastered the original and used that instead of trying to apparently recreate it with other robotic sounding voices? It's quite lacking.
Just wanted everyone to know that originally they had this Waltons Christmas ornament play the Walton's theme, then at the end of it they had 'other' voices used for the goodnights. Hallmark debuted this ornament today (10/4) and I went to pick up mine. It now just plays the Walton's theme music, they got rid of the voices. I'm glad they did that, if they couldn't use the authentic voices then I didn't want any at all...so we just get to hear the wonderful Waltons music.
My Hallmark store just had six of them plus the display one. I asked them if they had any more of the ornaments in the back and they told me that was all they had at their store. Sounds like if you want one, you better go get it.
