In The Air Man, when they are serving spaghetti, the spaghetti is in a large green bowl with a scallop design around the outside. Is that a jadeite bowl also? If not, what is it? It is very pretty.
In our family, we had a large spaghetti bowl that we called The Three Pound Spaghetti Bowl because....you guessed it....it held three pounds of cooked spaghetti!

Thanks. I am not sure if it is Jadeite. The bowl is big and has a design on the outside. Not sure how to get a screen shot.

I'll have to try and remember to look at that bowl next time I watch that episode. It is really beautiful. A pretty blue green color with a scallop design all around the outside and the bowl is very large. I don't think I saw it in any other episodes.

It is "The Air Mail Man," Season 2 Ep. 13. The air mail man is played by Paul Michael Glaser, better know as Starsky from the 1975 - 1979 TV show, "Starsky and Hutch."

The bowl may have had another appearance in "The Awakening." In the scene where Grandpa escorts Grandma up from the kitchen table to go to the doctor, what appears to be this same blue-green bowl is visible next to the large wooden salad bowl (also from the spaghetti dinner in "The Air Mail Man") on the kitchen counter in the background. It also appears later in the episode when Erin is making the frosting for Grandma's birthday cake. It may not be the same exact bowl, however, because it's hard to tell if it's scalloped with an embossed design like in the earlier episode, but it is about the same size and shape. (Maybe the original bowl was broken, and this was its replacement? )
