Well ..? I was going to say no at first and then had a 'duh' moment as the kids call it ..- my husband plays guitar and harmonica and can sing. My oldest daughter can play drums and sings, my oldest song plays a few string instruments guitar and fiddle as well as piccolos, and God love him my youngest plays the CD/Radio it is the family joke as he is not musical but he can do other things we can not, I am not sure if I can play 15 but I can play most brass instruments from the Tuba to the French horn, Alto horn,Baritone, trombone, trumpet, cornet and bugle, piano and sing or the tambourine , and spoons but it has been so long since we have all gathered to do so but thank you because we are long over due for a Gardner Kitchen party ( with instruments) What a great memory thanks wish we were neighbours with the Walton's we would never needed a radio LOL

Jason (Jon Walmsley) was an extremely talented musician. In the article recently posted by ForeverWaltons it was reported that he played 15 instruments. Just wondering how many musicians we have on here, and what you play, Bet no one plays 15 though! I play cello and piano. I remembered asking the same question a while back, and found this Thread from about May of 2013. I think we have lots of new members now, though, so it would be interesting to ask it again.

Jeri and Jerry - I went looking for this thread after your recent conversation about musicians. In looking at the responses, I don't even recognize lots of the names. I expect we have a lot of new musicians here not, so it might be interesting to do it again.

I play the piano but I would be fooling myself to say that I sing.

I've mainly been a singer since the 70s (classical, ethnic/folk, a Beatles tribute band) but have played a number of instruments over the years as needed. Guitar, piano, mountain dulcimer, soprano/alto recorders. Wouldn't call myself a professional instrumentalist by any means, though! All of my instruments were lost as a result of a blankety-blank hurricane a few years back and have never replaced them. However, I'm getting a real yearning to get a dulcimer and alto recorder and start having fun playing again. It's been too long.

I've always kept a cheapy recorder around.... small, highly portable, and so easy to pick up at a moment's notice -- even while watching tv !! ... my piano has become the "showcase" of a recorder, harmonicas, uke, my Dad's bongos and bugle, maracas ... all pretty much just collecting dust for the last ten years or so ... and, although I have a old Gibson steel-string, lately I've been wanting to buy a nylon-string -- in my 70's now, so WHY ?! ... hoping I can stop myself

I play violin, viola and piano. Before I left Australia I was a freelance violist in Sydney and played with many orchestras including the Sydney Symphony orchestra - (as a casual player not a contractee) I am talking myself into learning the celtic harp next

I play piano, flute and, although I haven't touched one in many years, a little bit on the recorder.

I really wanted to play the harp but it was too expensive for my parents to buy. Learning to play the harp is on my bucket list!
