I found an option yesterday to add a Facebook "like" button, which I did yesterday. When a facebook user "likes" the forum, it will show up in their friends' newsfeeds, meaning that some people will click on the link and visit the forum, and if they are Waltons fans too, they might want to join us. I notice that 4 people have actually "liked" the forum so far. I've also noticed that it seems to take the forum longer to load since I added that button. Is this bothering anyone else? It bothers me somewhat, which means I'll probably remove it. What do you think?

So, it only shows on our newsfeed if we " like" the forum? I love the forum, but my love for this show stays pretty much here. A lot of my friends and family know how much I love the show, and that I am part of this forum, but I don't want everyone on FB to know. I wouldn't want my "likes" or posts on here showing up on my newsfeed.

Daniela, Nothing will show up on facebook unless you click the Facebook Like Button ( ) which is located just under the Earl Hamner quote at the top of the forum. Your posts, likes, and other activity on the forum will not show up on facebook. It will just show up that you "Like" The Waltons Forum. If you don't want that to show up on facebook, then don't click that like button.
