Ah the Baldwins. So many moments and the Recipe. A favorite moment is hard to pick. They were blended well into the whole series. John Ritter Reverend Fordwick getting drunk at the Baldwins was definitely ones the funniest moments of the series? Illl try to think of more. WmFan . John Boy in the Typweriter trying to explain that he lost the the writer Oh boy as Grandma would say!

Any scene where one or the other of 'em is "having the vapors."

While it's not a 'proper' Baldwin moment, I always like the scene in The Homecoming when Mamie, I think it is, is talking to Emily, Emily wanders out and Mamie carries on talking as if she's there (even though she knows she's gone!)

That's mine also, and the conversation about the party and the fire. Chris

I like when John Boy reads to them the story he wrote based on Miss Emily and Ashley.

I love when Miss Mamie got annoyed with Miss Emily. Miss Emily tells her she is just jealous that she never had a man like Ashley Longsworth. Good question by the way

INSP posted this photo on facebook yesterday. It is from the episode, The Wedding, when the Baldwin sisters went to see Dr. Willard (Curt), and he told Miss Emily to unbutton her blouse.

My favorite moment was when Granpa was teaching them how to fish, and Miss mamie caught one,and she wading in the water trying to get it,and Miss Emily and Grandpa got hold of her dress to.Also another one is when Miss Mamie had a cateract, and she was afraid to have surgery because she was afraid to die like her father. Finally Grandma blind folded Miss Emily to show her what it was like,Miss Emily convinced Miss Mamie to have the surgery.Miss Emily said a pretty speech.

I liked alot of their scenes, but am especially fond of any scene where Miss Emily reminisces about Ashley Longworth and the maple tree..

Oh Marilyn....I'm glad you enjoyed the Ashley Longworth memories but it drove me crazy how fixated she was on it. If I had been Miss Mamie I'm afraid I would've had to tell Miss Emily "Enough already about Ashley!!" I thought it was sad it was the only thing she had to talk about except for her father, but then they led a protected life.

I love the scene where they went to the Waltons to ask if they could adopt Jason. That whole scene was a hoot.

My favorite scene is more ABOUT them then WITH them.
When discussing with whom they should entrust "the recipe for the recipe" before they die, Ike says: "They decided to take it with them?" John says, "They decided not to go."
