For the life of me, I don't understand the big deal about where a thread is begun.... it's nice to have it all organized -- but "after the fact" is fine with me.... In a perfect world, everything would be totally organized! I don't think it's necessary to make a forum member feel bad if he/she has mistakenly started a thread on the WRONG BOARD !!! Why bring it up at all.... and, in this case, it was on the RIGHT BOARD !!! I agree with you Jerijet. It's not a big deal to me, and I usually try to move posts that are in the wrong place when I get time. If someone thinks a post is on the wrong board, I would prefer that they send me a private message, not respond to it on the forum and publicly embarrass someone who mistakenly posted on the wrong board. On the other hand, jrijr merely asked : "Sorry... What does this have to do with the Walton's??" awesomemixtape10 answered that question, so I was wrong to move it. To be perhaps more clear, I wasn't necessarily talking about this thread.... it just seems that lately there has been too many times that someone has found it necessary to point out the fact that a thread has been started on the wrong board.... and sometimes it's just someone's excitement about an idea and they start it wherever they happen to be at the time -- and, I'd much rather they get the wrong board than not post at all.... It's also one reason I like sticking to the "Recent" stream, so I can't start a thread there but must go to the appropriate board....

i use the recent stream too, Jeri, which is why I don't notice a post is on the wrong board until someone points it out.

I'd be more upset if someone posted something inappropriate rather than just simply posting something in the wrong place.

I dont know if it is just my cable, but the show looks better on GMC than INSP or Hallmark. You're kind of right Awesome. For some reason GMC makes it look more colorful. Hallmark hurried through the intro, cut a lot out and eventually got rid of the Waltons for now. I would say GMC, INSP and then Hallmark in that order for who does the best job in presentation of the show besides my DVDS lol WmFan. Watching any sports now that its not football season Awesome? Talk soon.

As one of the newer members on the board here, and trying to be a productive commentor, I have had troubles locating threads. When the Homecoming aired late in 2012, there was a thread started in the General Board, but there was also discussion in the Homecoming Board as well. As for this post, I do not get GMC. That's why my original comment about "What does this have to do with the Walton's" was made. It was not intended to be snide, but I simply had no idea what this thread was about, or how it related to the show. I am one of four moderators on another board regarding a different television show, and we work hard to offer forum "boards" on different topics, and keep things in-line. It doesn't make sense to post about a computer problem in the main board, but it does make sense to post it in the Technology area. When I first discovered The Walton's Forum, I tried to find information about different shows based on the various boards, but it was hard to do so. Again, no disrespect intended. However, I personally view message boards like libraries. If I want to look at biographies, I go to the biography section. Same for history, art, music, etc. If all the books are just in one section, it makes a lot more difficult to find what you're looking for. Thanks...

Not a problem jrjr. We got our answer. The post did have something to do with The Waltons, so it did belong on the general board.
The boards under the category "The Waltons' Episode Discussion Group" were added awhile back at the request of some of the forum members who wanted to have discussions about the various seasons. I started with "The Homecoming" then added each season one at a time. That's why you see a discussion board about The Homecoming. People often post about The Homecoming and various episodes on the General Board, too, which is fine. If you are looking for specific information about something, such as The Homecoming, you can always use the Search option. If you want to make sure you don't miss anything new, you can use the "Recent Threads" tab. It will show you every thread on the forum that has been updated since you last visited, no matter what board it is on.
If someone occasionally posts on the wrong board, I usually do not notice it until someone points it out to me, because I usually just check the recently updated threads. Just send me a PM if you think something should be moved, and I'll check it out.
Thanks.

Author you are right! I never thought about it before but the show looks a little grainy on hallmark.
