Also, Henry Fonda played the part of Clay Spencer in the movie, Spencer's Mountain.
In the book Spencer's Mountain, there were 11 children, as someone else mentioned. The youngest at the beginning of the book was a baby they called Donnie. Later in the book, Mrs. Spencer did give birth to twins, a boy and a girl. I think they named them Franklin Delano and Eleanor, if I remember correctly.
The real life Hamner family did not have 11 children, however, they "only" had 8.

Brenda, I saw this ep recently. I was bothered by Olivia's reaction when the couple came to get the baby. To me, it had more to do with the idea that Olivia knew that they were not going to keep the baby in the first place. If that had been one of her children acting that way, I believe she would have reprimanded their behavior.

I can understand her feelings.I do feel sad for her that she couldn't have anymore kids. But she had seven kids and she should be happy about that.
I'M only child and i've been picturing what it be like to have a huge family like that.
