I was watching a programme the other night about the life of Frank Sinatra, and was wondering who is the all time favourite singers of the Walton family?

Probably The Beatles or The Rolling Stones.
I bet Grandma loved Kiss.

Jason mentions the composer, Gershwin, in one episode.

Jazz was very popular in the 20's, but highly doubt the Waltons would have listened to Jazz. Olivia and Grandma liked gospel music and they seemed to dominate the radio.

In one of the Walton movies Jason says he met Elvis and they lead us to believe Jason wrote 'Blue Suede Shoes' ! Wow--really? I'm not a fan of the movies so don't know them very well, although I have seen them at least once. But, man-oh-man, to hint that Jason wrote Blue Suede Shoes -- I don't get it I have always loved the story of how/why Carl Perkins wrote it (won't repeat it here -- you can google it....) It's a fun, early RockaBilly story..... Elvis, of course, also had a hit with the song and adjusted the lyric just slightly.....

I thought the question was on who the Walton's liked? Who was that group Jason sang with on gospel music and Olivia and Grandma loved so much until they found out they also sang at the dew drop?
