I thought that Hallmark was going to start showing the Waltons again after the holidays. Is it on a different time of the day? What they are showing new is Happy Days and The Brady Bunch.

Hallmark changed their schedule and kicked off the Waltons for Brady Bunch and Happy days. (Brady Bunch and Happy Days air on INSP too.) LHOTP has also been removed from Hallmark. INSP still airs the Waltons. You can email Hallmark and tell them you are unhappy about the new schedule.

Both INSP and Hallmark have The Brady Bunch now. Hallmark is doing better in the order of the episodes continuing with the first season. INSP however began with the episode that began the last season,"Adios,Johnny Bravo,sub-titled Greg Brady Superstar and then went immeidately to the 54-40 or Fight episode which was sub-titled The Trading Stamp Debate from the first season.

Don't watch Hallmark, because I don't care for Brady Bunch. Hoping Hallmark will change their schedule again soon.

I just sent Hallmark an eMail stating that I now have no reason to turn them on. Nothing I want to see. I did enjoy watching The Waltons on my afternoons off.

Mary McDonough is sharing information on her Facebook page about Hallmark and getting the show back on the air. Personally, I wish there would be great sitcoms 7-9, then two hours of classic TV (Waltons, LHOTP, etc). These "blocks" of scheduling are ridiculous. www.facebook.com/pages/Mary-McDonough/274441120496

I have also emailed them and basically told them that hour after hour of The Brady Bunch, I Love Lucy, Frasier, and Happy Days is ridiculous, and suggested that they drop one episode a day from each of those shows, which would free up 2 hours for 2 episodes of The Waltons. I told them that they were losing lots of viewers. Well, at least 4 or 5 of us.

I bet they're having money problems and got good deals on the shows in their current lineup. Usually, a show "contract" is for a certain period of time, and I guess the Waltons' contract ran out...... (renewal was probably too costly at this time). I would have suspected an attempt to gain additional audience, but the lineup doesn't point to that.....

I used the "contact us" link on the hallmark website, but I haven't heard anything from them yet. Someone on Facebook just posted on Mary McDonough's page that she used this email address, and they have responded to her. Now, I don't know what they said, but at least they read her email. programming@hallmarkchannel.emailcenterpro.com

The 1st couple of seasons of Happy Days were great. It starts to go downhill when Chachi comes in, and it should have been cancelled when Ron Howard left.
Gmc still shows it in the morning 10. am and 11 am.
They show like a 3 hour block of 7th Heaven and Touched by an Angel each in the evening..

I really dislike when channels start airing the same shows. INSP already airs Happy Days and Brady Bunch, so I don't know why Hallmark wants to copy them. Dr. Quinn is on both GMC and INSP. The Waltons are on GMC and INSP. It seems that these 3 networks are all competing for the same audience, when a diverse lineup would be best. I really dislike mini marathon of shows. I guess the only benefit of channels showing the same shows is if you don't get all of the channels. I know several people here don't get INSP or GMC. Glad I own the dvds and can choose what I want to watch and when.

There's a lot of competition among cable channels ..... which makes me wonder if, when INSP signed on to The Waltons, they demanded exclusivity once Hallmark's contract was up -- and now Hallmark is retaliating by "stealing" Happy Days, etc..... Sheeeeeeeeesh.

I'm sitting here watching The Brady Bunch tonight on The Hallmark Channel. It's the episode where Greg is a high school freshman, and he thinks he's all grown up and tries to get a date with a girl who is a senior. The girl is played by the actress Julie Cobb, who appeared in an episode of The Waltons (The Air Mail Man). She played the part of Sue Cooper.

She played the wife of the man who went to pick up seed corn for the townspeople and his wagon wrecked. And the townspeople thought he had run off with their money. I think she may have been on MASH as well, but I cannot remember the character or the episode. The woman that played Hazel Lamphere in the Walton's episode The Idol was in a episode of MASH. She played a newly transferred nurse to the 4077. And she was talking about having a fling with an Army Colonel and it turned out to be Margerat's husband.
