In the recent thread about John-Boy's "deflowerment" several people were discussing whether or not John-Boy and Madeline had sex together off-screen in The Woman. So I was wondering whether any fans have any other theories for things which happen off-screen, and other similar things like that. I'm interested to hear any and all ideas ;D it makes it interesting to rewatch episodes with a new point of view!

AR15......You're 19 years old! Are those hormones of yours raging??? LOL!! Heh I don't mean just theories of that kind! Heh this is a little embarrassing, I just mean any at all, I figured that people must have lots of theories for other (innocent!) things which happened off screen. Honest!

Yes you remember all of the rumors about Bernard Blenkthorn--better known as Barry Williams or Greg Brady and his crush on Maureen McCormick(Marcia) even though Barry wanted to 'adopt' Marcia as his sister---later it came out that Barry's real crush was on Florence Henderson, his 'reel mother' on the show!

One of my theories is that Zeb & Esther's un-named third child was the little girl that Grandpa mentioned to JohnBoy that died of scarlet fever.
Another theory is about Olivia's maiden name. Now I know some of you have said that it was mentioned in The Prophecy that her maiden name was Daly. I have watched that episode more than once and the only thing I remember is John's old girl friend saying, "You married that girl with the Italian name." Unless Olivia is meant to be an Italian name. Was Daly mentioned in that episode in a scene that has been cut out for syndication?
Her aunt Kate was a Daly. And she was her mother's sister, right? For some reason I believe that Kate was unmarried and Daly was Olivia's mother's maiden name. And it was Kate's birth name as well.
Was uncle Cody Olivia's paternal or maternal uncle and was his last name Daly?
I'll try to think of some more.

Uncle Cody's last name was Nelson
On page 14 of Goodnight Johnboy there is a picture of Earl's maternal grandparents who were Colonel Anderson GIANINNI and Ora Lee Giannini. Aunt Kate's name was Kate Grover Daly. Since she was not married Grover was her middle name which makes Olivia's maiden name Daly.

one of mine is that Olivia's family disowned her when she eloped with John at age 16...
another one is that Curt was sick of Mary Ellen, so that is why he never came back.

ARI, you mean what they were doing when they weren't working on the scripts? Their free time?

Since most of it was made up, I doubt there was anything else going on behind the scenes, so to speak. But who knows...

I think she means stuff they didnt show or tell about the characters. For instance, after the guinea pig died (the one Jim-Bob was looking after for his class at school), Jim-Bob had to go back to school and tell everyone what had happened. What was the reaction of his teacher? Did they get another class pet? Is this what you mean??

What was the reaction of his teacher? Did they get another class pet? Is this what you mean?? Yes, that's a good way of explaining it ;D with Jim-Bob going back, we can't know what happened, because there don't seem to be any clues. But sometimes things are referred to or implied without being seen, and it's those things I'm talking about. Jim-Bob telling everyone about the guinea pig is quite an obvious thing we can assume (just like for example, John-Boy returning the typewriter to the Baldwins shortly after The Typewriter). But sometimes there are bigger things, like John-Boy's motorcycle accident, based on the few things said somebody could probably build a good picture of what happened.

It would be interesting if a lucky fan was brought in to write or help write an episode. Oh where would that take us. Good thoughts about the fans and theories again AR15. I'd love to see a show that some of you fans create LOL! Best wishes. waltonsportwriter/ wmfan

Best wishes. waltonsportwriter/ wmfan Thanks ;D I think a lot of Waltons fans are writers, so I imagine most would love the oppertunity to write one! Too bad they didn't ask a fan to write the last three reunion movies, if they had the timeline probably wouldn't be so broken!
