Who would you have liked to see on the Waltons that wasn't? I heard somebody say Andy Griffith . He was down home country. Who else can you think of that you would have liked to seen on the Waltons? I dont have anyone in particular but I may get some ideas once I hear some of yours. Best wishes waltonsportwriter

Charles Bronson!! Who else? I think Bronson subbing for Waite in the episode The Bear would have been a real kick in the pants. That bear wouldn't have stood a chance with Charlie Bronson around. Bear head meet boulder. Besr head get crushed. Bear get skinned by Bronson usng only his fingers.
Others that would have been great: Jonathan Winters, Olivia DeHavailland, Fredric March, Johnny Cash, Donna Douglas, Telly Savalas (kidding!), Teresa Wright, Angie Dickinson, Mannix, Steve McQueen.

I think Larry Hagman, Carrol O Connor, Alan Alda, Bob Newhart any of the big stars of the 1970s and even though he was on a rival show Little House it would have been wild to see Michael Landon or Melissa Gilbert make an apperance on the mountain or vice versa on Little House. Best wishes and thanks for the thoughts goldenluimbers. waltonsportwriter

I agree with Jonathan Winters & Johnny Cash.
I would also have liked Carol Burnett (she can be a serious actress), Sally Field, Jerry Reed, Kristy McNichol, Helen Hunt, Mary Stuart Masterson, Rob Lowe, Anne Bancroft, Tom Skerritt, Harry Dean Stanton, Gailard Sartain, Morgan Freeman, Robert Duvall, Tyne Daly. Some of these were big stars in the seventies but some had not found their fame yet.

Wow! This is a tough question. I've been thinning about it since I first read this yesterday. I am going off the path a little. I chose Ron Howard who was a guest star. I always thought he would have been the perfect Walton kid.
