Mariclaire will attending alone. We are happy she will be able to come, it's her first time at one of our reunions!

I saw Mariclaire Costello on an episode of Little House on the Prairie yesterday. She played the adoptive mother of a blind girl who was an artist.

I saw Mariclaire Costello on an episode of Little House on the Prairie yesterday. She played the adoptive mother of a blind girl who was an artist. Brenda I just did a bit of research on Mariclare..... curious because I thought she must be much younger than Allan Arbus. She is in fact 18 years younger (now 76)..... Also curious because he's such a New York kind of guy and she so Midwestern.... always thought of her as a real Ivory Soap type. Allan was born in 1918 (now 94, God bless him)..... he married photographer Diane in 1941 and they had two children..... separated in 1959, with divorce final in 1969. Diane committed suicide in 1971. Allan and Mariclare married in 1977 (about the time her stint on The Waltons ended) -- when he was 59 and she 41..... they have one daughter. Allan's last appearance was in 2000 on "Curb Your Enthusiasm." After The Waltons, Mariclare kept busy for a while, but work was rather spotty throughout the 1980's and 1990's..... her last tv appearance was on "Providence" in 2002, and she made a video short in 2011..... Just thought some members may like some bio info.....
