Remember that episode when Jason was thinking about being a Conscientious objector ?
i have to admit-I would probably give it SOME serious thought myself if I was drafted. I am pretty sure I couldnt kill some person in a war.

Everybody was being so tough on Jason about it, I felt bad for him. I would probably consider doing the same if I were in his position. I don't even kill flies...

I liked that about Jason. He did struggle with that and that fit his personality. He was certainly the most sensitive boy.

I kill flies and skeeters. I can't kill mice though and the only time I could kill a person would be if my life was in danger and it was me or them...then I wouldn't think twice about it. I can't imagine going to war. How they keep their sanity is beyond me.

I admired Jason in the Conscience. If I was a person who was able and ready to serve my counrty then I would gladly do it. Jason is just a consciensious and sensitive man and it was hard for him to kill and as a peace loving person I can certainly understand that. Some have the mentality to be in the fight for our country and we can certainly serve proudly in many ways whether it involves fighting or not. So I applaud his decision in the Conscience and only each one of us can decide if we are ready to serve and in what way. But in any case we are good and patriotic citizens

I'd be thinking about the stuff he was talking about-Like, if I froze and one of my buddies was killed because I couldnt kill the enemy or something.

That episode was a great story and once again the writers weren't afraid to bring up a subject that was controversially frowned upon. The story fit Jason very well. He was such a sensitive and caring guy.
