I just have to say that it does my heart good when I read comments from people that are just discovering The Waltons. I have to share this: My youngest daughter is 24 and she leads a typical fun, social life of someone that age (she is also a bartender) The fact that she was born in 1987, she was never very familiar with The Waltons. About a month ago she called me from her apartment and was having a 'blue' day - home alone. I had given her Season 1 & 2 about a month earlier and suggested she watch them (she politely took them, but I think I saw her roll her eyes). Well, on this 'blue day' I said "Take my advice and get a cozy blanket and turn on The Waltons. She ended up watching them all day and is now a full-fledged fan She was thrilled to learn I have the entire series and whenever she is home alone, she is watching them. She says 'they relax her'...I Love It

Awe, that is wonderful, it does do the heart good to know new fans are finally discovering why we are so passionate about the Waltons series. My nineteen year old has become a big fan too and she has also fallen in love with Little House and Dr. Quinn,

Great post.
My nieces are 15 and 13. One day about a year ago I called their house to see what they were doing and they were watching the Waltons with my brother (their father). I was giddy.

I'm 23 and for those of you who know me, I'm a HUGE Waltons Fan! I have to say it was pretty cool at the last three walton reunions I've attended, I saw a lot of younger kids who came with their parents and hearing them talk about the waltons is awesome. RYAN-J

Well I got my niece interested in them last summer when she was 12, she just turned 13. And then her dad, who is my brother started watching them. The three of us took a little day trip to Schuyler, VA to see the Hamner house and the Walton's Museum.

I always watched the Waltons when I was younger and last year I "introduced" my 9 year old Grandson to the series. He visits 3 or 4 times a week and stays over every weekend - and he's now become an avid viewer

I have 4 adult children that grew up watching the Waltons. They all like the show but my youngest son (45) is an avid fan and watches every episode that he can find on TV. He and my oldest son live together and the oldest likes the Waltons but is not as eager to watch as his brother. The other day I was talking with him on the phone and I asked what his brother was doing and he said "watching the Waltons of course". LOL And before anyone asks why he isn't on the forum well he doesn't have a computer.
