And the honored guests are ...... Ms. Kami Cotler, Ms. Mary McDonough and Ms. Audrey Hamner. Our itinerary for Saturday Oct, 25 is as follows: A tour of the Hamner home but it will not be furnished or this is what Pam is thinking at the moment ( Audrey Hamner will be with us to share some special memories growing up ) - a visit to Schuyler Baptist church where Earl and his family grew up - a visit to the place that was the Schuyler Hospital when Earl Hamner was born. I'm still working on the possibility of walking along the Rock Fish River. Do any of ya'll remember walking along the river when Eric Scott was our honored guest?
The reunion banquet will be around 6:00 PM at the Kirkley Hotel in Lynchburg, VA. More info on that later.
I'm looking forward to once again enjoying the beauty of God's handiwork as we journey through those beautiful mountains ablaze with color and to once again walk over those roads that Earl Hamner, Jr. called HOME. Hopefully "Mother Nature" will smile upon us and we can witness the splendor of fall in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia
Hope YOU can join us for a memorable week-end
Carolyn

That is wonderful Carolyn, I also think and I know that you work hard to put this thing together. I just wish there were going to be more of the cast members there but I guess it is hard to get them to come all the way from California to Virginia. I'm not at all running you down but if any other cast members decide to attend I'm sure you will post it.

Thanks for the update Carolyn!! I must I'm surprised that their will only be 3 guests this year? Last year, close to 15 cast & Crew came! Or is that just the list of the confirmed guests? RYAN J.

I'm not Carolyn, but I will attempt to answer your question. Carolyn doesn't get on here often and it might be awhile before she sees it.
I'm sure it is fine for you to attend without staying at the Kirkley. I have been to several of these reunions, and there have always been people there who stayed in a variety of places...other hotels in the area, campgrounds, and probably many locals as well who stayed in their own homes.

Hi Ryan, last year the reunion was held on Hollywood, CA where most of the cast member live. That is why the cast turn out was so great. This year will be fun too as we will be going to the area in which Earl Hamner and his brothers and sisters grew up....and Audrey Hamner will be on hand to give us the "real" story. Now that should prove to be interesting.
See everyone in October, Big Bruno

This sounds like so much fun!! I wish I could go, but I can't...not this year. Too much is going on. One day I will get to a Waltons reunion (either in VA or CA). -Kristi

Thanks, Brenda and Bruce for answering the questions for me. I would have given the same answer. Only thing with the lodging question is that we do have a block of rooms reserved and in order for us to have the "hospitality" room without charge we must have a certain number of rooms reserved. I feel certain we will meet that goal. Those of you who live close by feel free to drive in for the evening. I'm getting lots of responses in and there is excitement in the air! Carolyn
