Hello all! Mary and I are crazy busy promoting the book and getting her appearances lined up, but we wanted to touch base with you. As of this morning, "Lessons from the Mountain" is #20 on Amazon's Bestseller list in the Television category! And while we were writing "Lessons," I wrote a fun novel about a small town that hosts a movie shoot! Of course Mary helped me with some of the movie making details and has given me a quote for the jacket! I hope you'll check out my book as well, on Amazon. It's called FRESH START SUMMER, and very Waltons friendly. Blessings to all, keep watching, reading and writing! And, spread the word about the books! We appreciate all of you. Bev I was thrilled to see that Amazon and your publisher are offering a Kindle version of Mary's book. I have pre ordered mine so I can read it as soon as it's available. I still want to get a hard copy though. Signed would be lovely. :-)

I did a search to find a thread relating to Mary's book and thought this one the most appropriate for my post. I bought Mary's book online a couple of years ago but never got around to reading it until now. I just finished it and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was interesting to read about her experiences when filming the show and also all the trials and tribulations she has suffered through her life. She sounds like a really strong woman now with her life well in order.

I bought both the hardback and paperback of this book (the paperback has additional pages in it) back in 2012. I carried them with me to the Waltons reunions in California on 9/28/12 & 9/29/12. Mary McDonough (Erin) personally autographed both of them for me. I read about half of the first chapter on the plane ride there but I was too interested in looking out my window on the plane.
I went to Florida with a friend of mine the last week of January of this year (2014). I carried this book with me and I finally had the time to read it uninterrupted. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

She was so cute and yet she did not have much self confidence. And the implants stories were scary! They made her so, so sick!
