I just watched 'The Journal' (the one where Reckless dies and they find out John-Boy's plane was shot down) for the first time, and thought it was a very good episode. One thing bothered me about it though, it seemed like nobody cared about Reckless anymore, it was as if he was something the children had outgrown and so didn't care much about anymore. I mean, John and Olivia were both very worried about John-Boy and didn't know Reckless was ill, but all the children did and it seemed only Jeffrey, who would only have met Reckless not long before the episode, cared when she died!

I notice that as well and it seemed out of place, especially with a NURSE in the house. Didn't someone say she just wandered off and would be back. No, they don't do that. Some of the writing wasn't well researched before put on film.

Yeah I know... Though on the whole I thought it was a very good episode, especially the main story about John and Olivia wanting to find out more about John-Boy's fate!

Can anyone explain why The Hallmark Drama Channel has skipped over Season 8, Episode 7 "The Journal" (between "The Starlet" and "The Lost Sheep") the last 2 times they have cycled through the entire series in order? According to my DVR (looking ahead this April of 2020), they are going to skip over it again for a third time! Why??
