I haven’t been on the Forum that long, but I am so sorry to hear about what you’ve been going through after your Mom’s passing. I am just so impressed that so many other people on the Forum would reach out with their thoughts. It must make you feel like you are not alone. What kind, amazing people are the Walton fan family! Grief comes in waves and sometimes all one can do is take it day by day and hold on to your memories. You know your Mom will live in your heart forever! Sometimes, when life seems overwhelming, try and write a letter to your Mom and share your feelings. She will always be listening. You can keep a journal of things you would want her to know. Sometimes writing things down can make the sadness go away for a while. This quote has helped me through my many loses, perhaps it can help you too. I have it printed, in a frame, on my desk and I try to remember how blessed I was to share wonderful memories with a person so special. It says: “How lucky I am to have known someone and loved somebody that saying goodbye to is so darn awful.” I say "I love you" out loud every time the grief starts. Man or beast, it helps me a lot.

It says: “How lucky I am to have known someone and loved somebody that saying goodbye to is so darn awful.” This is what got me through (and still does) the grief of losing my father. I would remind myself that grief is the price we pay for loving and being truly loved and I focused on being grateful for all my father had given me.
